The very first Spirit of Enterprise Awards ceremony was a rousing triumph with over 200 guests attending the black tie gala evening at Great Yarmouth Racecourse on Friday 4th May.

The event was part of the newly launched Enterprise-GY scheme and was the culmination of the search for new and thriving businesses in Great Yarmouth.

Arranged by NWES, the Great Yarmouth-based Enterprise Agency, the evening was a solid platform from which the town can celebrate and promote its entrepreneurial and business successes from.

Hosted by the comic genius Karl Minns, the audience rocked with laughter as Karl let loose with a barrage of gags and asides, before the evening culminated in the winners being announced from the finalists and each being awarded with a shimmering crystal trophy and cheques for £1,000.

The topic of conversation after the event was: "When will the next one take place and can we be involved?"
